Important Information / Policies:
Results
Those coming to Structural Integration for the first time should expect clear and unambiguous results after the very first class. If after the first session a client decides to continue, a commitment to complete the series is expected.
Attire
During the class a client wears modest undergarments. Briefs for men and a top and bottom for females. (Optional for females: two piece swimwear or short legged two piece sports set.)
Safety and Privacy
All client interactions and records are private and secured. Any photos taken to record before and after progress are instant camera paper copies given to the client after sessions.
There is never any touching of the privates.
Manual contact is always applied with permission at a level of comfortable acceptance. If at any time the touch is unacceptable, for any reason, clients are urged to report on their needs. The depth and pace of the work can be adjusted accordingly, or stopped.
The success of the work is in fact predicated on working within each client's tolerable limits of acceptance. The touch is dynamic and firm, but the idea that more pressure gets more results is completely contrary to the style and philosophy of this work.
Cancellation Policy
24 hours advance notice for cancellations is requested, otherwise the full session fee will be charged. No exceptions, please.
The full one hour session period is usually needed to satisfy the objectives of each class. (The work is not set on a time basis, but on a results basis.) For late arrivals an additional class may be required to satisfy the goals of the session.
Transferring from Other Practitioners
Clients coming from other qualified practitioners mid-series (i.e., before completing the standard series) will be evaluated on embodiment of the goals for those completed sessions. A client transferring in will be given a catch-up refresher session(s) tailored as needed before proceeding to complete the traditional series.
Homework
Required home exercises may be given, tailored to the needs of each client. It is expected that each client will commit to set aside a small block of time daily and on a regular basis to sit quietly and undistracted, focusing mindfully on breathing and scanning body sense/feelings.
* Post 10 ("Tune-Ups"). Available only to continuing clients and new clients who have received the traditional 10 session series from qualified practitioners.
** The Advanced 5 Series. Applicants for the Advanced Series must successfully embody the 10 Series goals. This level of process is only for clients who are earnestly motivated to refine and expand on the results of the Basis Series. Those who have completed the Basic Series with other practitioners will be evaluated on embodiment of the series goals.
*** Under 18 must be accompanied by a related, responsible adult. With youngsters under 18 years of age it is required that a parent(s) or guardian receives the work first. Having a direct understanding of this experience gives you confidence in the process and will empower you to support your youngster during this time of significant change and maturation.
**** Students can receive a scholarship discount if affordability is an issue. (Structural Integration is primarily an education in a basic and necessary life skill. It is our intention to make this important life lesson financially accessible for students.) Under 18 and living at home must be accompanied by a related responsible adult.
